(December 22, 2011) Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is the new name for the former Parents Forever class taught by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension. Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is an unbiased, research-based education class designed to help parents implement positive parenting skills. It meets the 2008 Nebraska Updated Parenting Act guidelines for parents who are divorcing or seeking custody modification, or for never-married parents seeking custody. Learn more

(November 30, 2011) Classrooms missing roofs and walls. Children lacking access to basic education. Teachers using tarp as chalkboards. And, amidst it all, the indomitable spirit of people working to improve each other's lives.

CYFS Director Susan Sheridan encountered these dual realities during a recent mission to La Montagne (mawn-TYN'), Haiti, a beautiful but historically poor mountainside community devastated by a 2010 earthquake. Learn More

Healthy Snacking App

Snack Planet - is a game to  promote the benefits of healthy snacking and exercise. Help Optimis, the robot, move quickly through the maze, grab the healthy foods and reach the exit before the time runs out. A word of warning though, steer clear of the snacks which are not healthy. They reduce both time and score.
